Introduction

1080 is a poison that has been used in New Zealand since the 1950s to control the populations of invasive species such as possums, rats, stoats, deer and rabbits. It is a controversial topic because while there is scientific evidence that supports the use of 1080, there are some people that are very firmly against it.
